Films have benefits beyond artistic merit, most notably entertainment value. Scott Pilgrim was hugely entertaining and, I thought, full of artistic merit, but I can see how other generations could fail to relate. I've yet to see The Social Network but would assume similar things about it...
I thought the Honey Monster was American. Oh well.
Awesome review. Annoyed I missed this when it was on in the UK. Will have to get the DVD. And if this gets any sort of controversial feedback from the US because of its subject matter then I will know that free speech is dead in America.
