another big problem with the rrod is people just being stupid with their xbox. how hard is it to put it somewhere where it can breath? wiping the filter is virtually nothing, so why not do that every few monthes or so? also, why the fuck would anyone put the console vertically? it blocks an air...

the rrod shouldn't have existed in the first place. it was a terrible error that sucked the blood out of microsoft, and if they would've caught it like they should've, then ps3 and wii wouldn't even be able to come close to the xbox'x quality. the rrod won't ever disappear completely anyways...
