Sucker Punch Kills InFamous 2's New Cole

Am I the only one that thinks the now-defunct Cole looks a lot like the guy from White Collar? As you can see here: http://atomculture.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/white-collar-590x590.jpg

    The Worst Bands Ever

Whoa whoa whoa. The fact you lumped in The Black Dahlia Murder with metalcore bands means you may not understand what's going on. TBDM is Gothenburg-style melodic death metal. Their music (later stuff, especially) has almost no breakdowns, they are far more technical than most metalcore bands...

    The Worst Bands Ever

1: Most 80's hair/glam metal was garbage. For every at least competent band (Guns 'n' Roses) there were a dozen godawful hacks (Poison, Cinderella.) Having said that, Nirvana was incredibly overrated, but at least brought about the end of the mess that was mainstream music in the 80's. 2. The...

Poll: To all car drivers - Automatic or Manual

Been driving a manual since I bought my car in June of last year. Obviously, getting the hang of it was a massive *****, but after a week or so, I loved it. At this point, I seriously wouldn't think of ever driving an automatic again, to me it's not nearly as interesting.

Escapists, Are you unemployed or lucky enough to still be employed?

Being the successful man about town I am, I'm not only still employed, I recently got a promotion and make close to twice the money I did before. All while still going to school. Hate to brag, but I'm just pretty really excited about it.

What the hell happened to these bands???

Another thing is sometimes a band's style just changes, along with their production values, which when combined sometimes make a band sound like they have a totally different style, case in point, The Black Dahlia Murder: 2003 [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBHNiebX2Mo] 2009...

    Biggest anticlimax

Going way back, the ending to Doom 2 was pretty anticlimactic, it wasn't even really a boss, you just have to shoot 3 rockets into a whole in the wall that spits out enemies. It's no Cyberdemon, is all I'm saying.

Poll: Game Informer's 'Top 200 Games' List, BS?

The list seems to be more about the impact of any given game as opposed to the objective quality of it. Taken like that, it seems more or less accurate, as from some odd choices (Kingdom Hearts, really?)

    Poll: The Tea Party Movement

The fact that people feel that the government acting during a critical time in one of the greatest economic downturns in history is wasteful is insulting. The previous administration did little but keep the seats warm for the next president, as they knew it would then no longer be their problem...

Poll: A poll for all the headbangers out there!!!

Nu-metal is metal in that it is loud and sometimes fast. However, it caters more to the goth set than anyone else. Nu-metal was a term first coined because no one knew what to call up and coming bands in the mid-90s such as Rage Against the Machine. the term came to mean bands like Korn and...

Poll: A poll for all the headbangers out there!!!

None of those are truly metal bands in the truest sense of the word. The closest would be Children of Bodom, but they're even a bit too nu-metalish (nu-metal, despite the name and deplorable spelling, is NOT true metal). The list is lacking even one of the following bands: Slayer...
