A rapier would be a bad choice IMO, you need a weapon that can decapitate. Too stab you would have to get them in the eye, so unless you're a trained fencer it would be pretty impossible.

You have to have a balance though.

Sometimes I get an urge to play a game, Oblivion for example. I get it out the box, pop it in the disk drive, walk around a town for a while then get bored. I have no money to buy any games at the moment though, which is a major shame.

Those of you who have read Max Brooks "Zombie Survival Guide" will know that the two best weapons to use are an average Military Standard Machete or a .22 Rifle. Personally I would take the Machete as it doesn't really on ammo, however it can break after plenty of use. I would avoid combat...
