I've no idea. I think that the people perpetrating the white male gamer stereotype is the media. My girlfriend is an equally hardcore gamer as me.

For Crysis you'll need a pretty intensive rig I think. I've got a laptop which aren't well known for gaming but it runs Rome Total War and Battlefield 2 smoothly which is good enough at the moment.

I have a laptop that can play a fair few older games but I dislike the aspect of constantly checking to see if a game will run on it or not and it becoming obsolete so quickly.
