EA has demonstrated numerous times that no name or series is so loved by gamers that it cannot be raped for profits. I'm not saying they never make a decent game but I look askance at any new game from them that plays the nostalgia card.

Spelunky is pretty cool. Kind of like a roguelike pitfall.

I like both Thief and MGS, but to me Thief is far more of a stealth game. In MGS I tend to spend at least as much time eliminating enemies as I do avoiding them, often loudly.

being a very non-competitive person by nature, on the rare occasion I do play online, i use a good beating as an excuse to stay off online games for another month or two. that or I call my opponents big bedwetting dootie heads.
