    Jim Sterling in court.

So...it's over? At long last it's over? Feels a bit anticlimactic, really.

The latest update says "STIPULATION of Dismissal With Prejudice by James Nicholas Stanton.". Not entirely sure what that means, but it seems like Jim is going for Dismissal with Prejudice? I'm not entirely sure what a "Stipulation" is in a legal context, though. Could someone fill me in?

The 10th was the deadline for the new complaint, not necessarily the date that the judge would dismiss it. Hopefully there will be a response sometime this week on whether or not this new complaint complies with the judge's order (smart money says it doesn't), but considering how long this case...

The judge said "an amended complaint that complies with this order", so I'm thinking it might be possible that if the new complaint does not comply with the order (IE, the judge determines that Romine's little magic trick of bringing in Microstrato-whatever as a 'missing link' doesn't count as...

Out of curiosity, does the amended complaint extend the February 10th deadline if it's found to be insufficiently changed? Like, if the judge decides that the new complaint doesn't comply with the order, will this get dismissed outright by the deadline? Or does the fact that a new complaint was...

Am I the only one to have noticed that the new complaint alleges that Jim was conspiring with people to bring down The Romines? (Page 32, item 93). James Romine thinks Jim "conspired" with, and I quote, "ECC Games of Poland Members, Members within the Steam Community, and members of the...

That's probably not even going to fly. It's my understanding that "selling things online that someone in Arizona could purchase" does not count as "does business in Arizona". He'd have to do some kind of 'directed' business in Arizona, like have business partners there or somehow specifically...

Oh I see, the first time you linked it there was an extra comma at the end. Their GFM page looks like its still up (but not been updated in ages). I assume there's some paperwork he can file to try to have it dismissed without prejudice, but any such paperwork would need to be filed by a...

Their GoFundMe link page seems to not exist anymore. I guess they're double screwed.

"Winding down" seems like the wrong way to put it, since this case isn't even going to go to trial. It's more of an imminent failure to launch, and all we have to do is wait for everything to crash and burn spectacularly.

I doubt they'd come back. By the time they'd ever get money to revive this lawsuit, they'll have moved on to some new thing to be upset about. The cycle will begin again. Sweet! Anyone looked at this yet? Probably just says "Well you're gonna dismiss this anyway, so who cares?"

This seems about as climactic as this could ever realistically be. As amazing as it would have been for the Romines to have an Ace Attorney style breakdown where they froth at the mouth and scream before confessing all their various sins, I was pretty certain this would end with DigiHom just...

I'd like to point out that despite having an article written about them in a sympathetic light, and including a link to their GoFundMe page in said article, nobody's kicked any more money to their GFM thing. I have no sympathy for the Romines, because they remind me uncannily of several...

NPD's not grounds to throw out a lawsuit. This will probably get thrown out for lack of jurisdiction or lack of standing, as Jim's lawyers suggested in their motion to dismiss. Granted, he might have more of a case for standing in this second case if the alleged harassment was directed at James...

If you've been paying attention to their behavior, it quickly becomes apparent that the Romine Brothers have a serious case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Through the lens of genuine delusions of grandeur, their actions make sense: Of course Romine will win his lawsuits, because he's an...
