No worries. I don't know about KoA but Mass Effect 3 definitely requires the Origin client be installed and active (but offline for single player) if you want to play.

Seconded - I love my soldier Shepard, towards the end of ME1 she was nigh on invincible and area reave kicks all kinds of arse combined with incendiary ammo for digging mercs out of cover and head-shotting them.

I have almost unholy love for the Ace Attorney games and you have those, so if you liked them then I'll second the recommendation for Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. Same people behind it and the story's good. Not really played any RPG games on the DS unfortunately.
