Diablo diabolical?
My world view is simple. I put everything I see or hear into two boxes. Good and bad. Sometimes it might take me a little while to decide what box something belongs in but eventually everything ends up somewhere.
Diablo 3 came out last week and is still going through...
I think it might go along the lines of..
''We an army to fight on the front line and one to launch a surprise attack''
So you would pick someone like the Krogans to fight and the Salarians to ambush..
It will follow the Dragonage plot of gathering races to fight the Reapers.
If you look at all the major choices over ME1 and ME2 thats what its been building towards.. for example..
Did you save the Racni or kill them?
Did you Rewrite the Geth or destroy them?
Did you cure the genophage...
Heavy Rain is less of a 'playable movie' than Final Fantasy or Metal Gear Solid have ever been. All games are basically interactive movies to a point anyway.
And when you go to the planet with the Chocobo farm - You get ambushed by ba guys and all the chocobos get killed.
If I haven't compared them and I haven't reviewed them then what have I done? You can't have it both ways.
My key arguement is one is better in MY opinion and its up to the reader to make up their own mind. Thats the entire point of any form of criticism. Some people like Yahtzee for example...
You're arguement that the games are different is irrelevant. You would be right if I had written something along the lines of, ''I don't like the XP system in Final Fantasy and Heavy Rains is better'' because Heavy Rain doesn't have an XP system.
Both games have characters, stories, graphical...
I was only writing 1,000 words about 2 games. I'm not going to go into intricate technical details that I'm not interested in. What do you want from a review? A totally unbiased dispassionate list of facts and statistics? Find me a single review that is and won't bore someone to death and I'll...
Reviews and their styles are completely subjective by nature. All I can do is give my honest appraisal on why more games should be like Heavy Rain and less like Final Fantasy 13. People can read my opinion which is based on what I personally find important to a gaming experience and then make a...
No - he does have these blackouts that are weirdly forgotten. I didn't mention them because its a pretty big spoiler really. In my defence I admitted several times Heavy rain is not perfect and has some 'strange' plot points.
I heard a rumour their plan was to flesh this stuff out via DLC...
Well I disagree then.
If I said to you do you want to go sky-diving or salsa dancing you would have to make a comparison in your head between the two choices given to you however alien they might be to each other.
Now I played both these games a few months ago and they both stuck in my mind, albeit for different reasons. If you haven?t played these games the basics are thus:
Heavy rain was a semi-original concept game based loosely on films like Se7en. It was filled with interesting and mostly...
