I prefer cash over gift cards or crap that I don't want. At least cash is good everywhere. If you want to add a personal touch you can always write a note or something.
Mmmm I would say it's about the same. Some new games have great soundtracks, such as ME2. Most have forgettable ones. The same story was true for most older games.
If they're controllable, as in Baldur's Gate or Dragon Age, they're fine.
If they're not controllable, please get them away from me. The Mass Effect series is pretty much the only one that has done non controllable NPCs well enough that I saw them as a benefit.
FINISH HIGH SCHOOL. Think of it as improving your discipline for the military. Basic algebra also is important to learn. Math beyond that may not be essential, but I firmly believe everyone should at least understand basic algebra. Many careers depend on it.
