I don't want to turn this thread into an argument over opinions on the new system, but wanted to say one thing about that: I see what you're saying and you're right that Morrowind was great, but at the same time, each Elder scrolls game takes a new turn with at least one aspect. For oblivion...

That's true. Hopefully it will be more like Morrowind in that all the clothing and armors are stackable and depending on what the top layer doesn't cover, the under layer shows through. I always liked having a robe with huge bonemould shoulderpads on top in Morrowind ;)

My initial character is always a Breton mage/priest named Sirus Darkflame, or just Sirus. And actually thinking about it now, since you don't choose a set of skills to follow, you can technically just master in like 4 or 5 skills instead of 7. Probably Destruction, Resto, Conjur, Alteration, and...
