Star Wars: The Old Republic is undeniably one of the most promising and impressive MMOs i've ever seen. Speaking as someone who saw some of it at PAX East a few weeks ago, it's amazing and it can't come soon enough. Which is why it's baffling to me why they don't put out an open beta of it...

Nope, you fight them just as you did the first time that you beat them... re-hashed games do count though... if you played all of the zeldas, have fun with the Gannon overload.

Yeah, party members count as equipment, but they're only with you for their respective fights, and if they die, they can't be revived, unless you die and the battle is reset.
