Multiwinia - Survival of the Flattest

Um... accidental post, and I can't figure out how to delete it?

The game that started it all

I was born in 1977. My first game was probably something text-based on a Sinclair ZX81. My first game-for-life would be Chuckie Egg on the Amstrad CPC. The first game that moved me to buy a PC was Command and Conquer, and the first game that moved me to buy a console was GTA3 on the PS2 (which...

    How big is your...

I can't count my PC game stash, as most of it's gathering dust in my parents' loft. In my own place right now I have about 10 PC games, and a dozen Xbox/360 discs. Most of my gaming happens on Steam and XBLA right now, which is funny but inexpensive.

Do you play your old games?

Some of the oldies never die. As with some of the above I occasionally dust off UFO, and I can't ever go long without playing R-Type (it's been 20 years and I still can't beat level 5...) My pals and I sometimes try Red Alert II for its lunatic multiplayer, although RA3 may shortly supersede...

Multiwinia - Survival of the Flattest

Fair comment, but I'm just pimping the cause for the community. I've tried making the odd post here or there elsewhere so I'm not just a one-thread-wonder, but it's not been easy the last couple of weeks as I've been either offline or out of the country on business.

Edit: Added the 'recommendation' as per the guidance thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.52817] which I hadn't read when I posted!

Using HDTV for 360 and PC - Opinions

If all you want is 19", then get a monitor and use HDMI to DVI adaption for the Xbox; I do this on my 22" Samsung monitor and it works a treat. *edit* Sorry, that's assuming your Xbox is the Elite version.

Multiwinia - Survival of the Flattest

Cheers, have taken your advice and added some more line breaks. I agree that the game isn't necessarily too laptop-friendly, but it does play on fairly modest desktop PCs; a pal of mine has my hand-me-down graphics card and a PC that are both a few years old, and he enjoyed a good online sesh...

Multiwinia - Survival of the Flattest

Multiwinia [http://www.introversion.co.uk] has emerged as an initially strange beast, a result of their signing of Darwinia to Xbox Live Arcade. Multiplayer content was an obvious requirement of this deal, and after some soulsearching over how to meet this brief, the team realised that a whole...
