i don't think i thought of the right game, the game it reminded me of is "Hover" for windows 95. you are in a hovering vehicle and have to collect flags (there are videos of it on YT). @Tesral - amazing, thank you! some of the details seem to have been mixed up in my recollection of it but...

this game sounds familiar... didn't it come on one of the graphics card driver CD's or something? I will have to check mine (still have them I think).

hoping you all can help! it was a "turn-based" game where i believe the player got so many steps per turn. i think it took place in/around a "country/rural" town - think farms and fields and woods. i believe the enemy was aliens that would be randomly spawned each new game so you couldn't...
