Yeah, this trailer wasn't originally made with a video series in mind; in fact I made this before we had any plans with the Escapist, simply as advertising for our server to put on Youtube. It's ended up being an introduction to the video series instead, and I guess it does seem a little odd...

It's still way too early to jump on the 3D bandwagon. We've only recently made the jump to HD, and most people I know with HDTVs only got them because they either needed a new TV or didn't have one to begin with. Clearly they're not going to be replacing those expensive and perfectly working new...

Is it just me or do a lot of these look like fakes? As if they're so stuck for ideas that they've just cobbled together bits of old Pokemon sprites to make new ones? Hmm. Either that, or this gen's sprite artists are just... not so good.

To be honest I'm more impressed with the amount of time he's spent on the game than that this actually went ahead. I mean, cases like this crop up all the time, but... 20,000 hours? Twenty THOUSAND!? Assuming that's actual logged game time, that's... *consults Windows calculator* that's over TWO...

Dammit, 40%. Twice. And I thought I knew all about stats and gameplay mechanics... This is the kind of stuff they don't teach you at Earl's Pokémon Academy.

It's true, half your puzzle-solving time is usually spent trying to stop Maxwell running into lava or bears or your precariously balanced tower of barrels and sheep. That, and the mechanic of gluing/tying objects together is microscopically fiddly.

1. Don't assume that your opinion is everyone's opinion. 2. Zatoichi is a live-action film series, not an anime. A brief search would have told you that. 3. He's the main character, not some obscure bit player. And he's awesome. Like this guy! 4. In conclusion, be quiet, you silly person...

This. Prime example of a sequel that bears no resemblance to the previous game (and is, logically, not a sequel). A2 took everything that was good about the first game and turned it into a steaming polygonal dump.

Alundra, on the PSX. Seriously great game. (Unlike Alundra 2, which was a sequel about as much as Halo was a sequel to Super Mario World.)
