Your home town's claim to fame

It's also the heart of Queens! Also notable for the Kevin James comedy series, King of Queens, and the majority of the Eddie Murphy film Coming to America! We also make the best Italian ices ever, according to the signboard outside Gino's Pizzeria on 37th st. (also grew up in Astoria).

    Best Videogame Quote (NO Bioshock)

I loved that! It made his bizarreness bearable! I wasn't as invested in York as I should have been, I guess... Zach was just more interesting as the strong, silent type throughout the game.

    Best Videogame Quote (NO Bioshock)

I don't know about the best, but I've always loved "I HAVE FURY!" by Fawful. Though, "It's me, Mario!" is pretty classic. Oh, and, of course: "CONGLATURATION!!! YOU HAVE COMPLETED A GREAT GAME. AND PROOVED THE JUSTICE OF OUR CULTURE. NOW GO REST OUR HEROES!" (Ghostbusters)

Teen Sells Kidney for iPad 2

With all due respect, is it really China's fault that a teenager decided a piece of technology was worth more than his health (and eventually, his life)? A few years ago, in the U.S., a teen killed his mother over being denied Halo 3. I wonder what the teens are up to in Europe.

Tales from the Table: Pilot Episode

Before clicking on it, I did think it had potential, but it didn't really feel original. Though it did make me go back and watch Gamers and Gamers II.

    Favourite Movie or Cinema Food

Obviously popcorn is the most amazing theater food ever, but no one seems to be honoring Goobers. Chocolate covered peanuts are an excellent mix-in, or great on the side once you're half-dead from the popcorn's butter/salt overload. And it all must be taken with a gallon of watery flat Coke...

    Anime Review: Full Metal Panic

It is understood that Full Metal Panic isn't perfect, and it can be a little jarring how it switches moods from scene to scene, but... Sagara Sousuke is freaking perfect! He has just the right touch of military edginess mixed with "wtf"-ness that needs to be seen to be believed. He thinks a...

Which fictional universe would you live in over this one?

I would absolutely say the Star Trek universe, if it were guaranteed I wouldn't be one of the "misplaced" extras by the end of the mission/ episode/ workday.

    A question for non-Americans!

The large majority of the world believes football involves a round ball, much like a soccer ball, and the use of feet. As a brand-new American, my only concern for the Superbowl is the creativity of the commercials shown in between the sport itself. If forced to care, then, Go Steelers!

    Games for Suicidals?

Would it be terrible to suggest Five Minutes to Kill (Yourself)? It usually picks me right up. The miniature injuries let you temporarily concentrate on something else and the game is short enough to play in a lunch break. Or you could try any adult swim game, really. They're all pretty...

Why do people say Cowboy Bebop is awesome?

What makes Cowboy Bebop amazing for me is, aside from the storyline, animation style, and incredible depth of even the one-episode throwaway characters, the music. From the first few seconds of the theme song, the audience knows it's going to see something unique. That, and I love Einstein.

Huzzah! I just defeated it using Helena Bonham Carter.

    Unskippable: Final Fantasy 13

This is actually bittersweet. On the one hand, I love steampunk elements in a fantasy setting. On the other hand, I think sci-fi settings are pretty cool, too. I don't know whether I'm more impressed by the overall prettiness of the cutscene or saddened by the lack of magic/ mystic elements...

Escape to the Movies: Knight and Day ... also Smurfs

Knight and Day looks exactly like a Cameron Diaz movie Tom Cruise accidentally found himself in, and I actually completely forgot about the Smurfs until this review. Now I'm simultaneously furious at both movies and curious as to how they plan to tie in Gargamel. Is he now a business tycoon of...
