I'm curious as to why it's so hard to find a copy of this game. There's not a single copy to be found in the Austin, TX area. Why did it take so long for the first reviews to come out?

If a designer puts out a top-notch space combat game then I will happily buy it. If it was built onto an RPG frame so much the better - work up the ranks from pilot to admiral. Recently: The Jedi Starfighter series is good but it irks me that you can use the Force to pilot. Then again...

True but I've been pretty impressed by tactical JRPGs. There are also a good number of solid "old school" RPGs for the DS. You are correct though I suppose I did answer my own questions. I guess I'm still hoping for something new and thrilling in the RPG genre on the 360.

I'm with ya. While the story was gripping and online play is - when you can actually get on - a lot of fun the mechanics were the stumbling point for me. Personally I get bent out of shape when shooters have run and gun rail/ get to the checkpoint to cut of reinforcements controls. "Halo 3"...

I get tired not only of the "*****" this "gay" that (it's like an evening with 14 year old Lisa Lampinneli imitators) but also the poor sportmanship. I never thought I'd be the sort to whine about "gentlemanly conduct" but Jeez these kids are a prime example of "Spare the rod, spoil the child."
