All the side stories interlock with the main story, BBS was needed to learn who Sora is going to save, Coded was needed to understand how the king knew those who were in trouble needed Sora's help. Otherwise Three Would introduce so many new characters in these locations without any explanation...

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but I just kinda skimmed through. While it won't push your computer to the limits(it runs perfect on my mac) Cave Story is a fantastic free game. ans the soundtrack is free for download to boot :)
