They do look very similar but I think it was more graphically advanced, but commandos didn't feature turnbased combat as far as I can recall - perhaps an offspawn of the genre?

Ah - Guess I left that out. It is a PC game. Panzer General is a good guess, but the game I'm thinking off wasn't about strategic control. It was more commandos styled. You controlled your unit of men like in Baldurs Gate, Syndicate and Commandos. :) PS: I'm not entirely sure about it...

Here in Denmark games aren't enforced even though they carry the usual 16,18, Mature (etc..) markers. I bought GTA2 as a 11yr old? (i think) and I don't walk around murdering innocents with machine guns or run them over. Got the same view on semi / X-rated content. If a game contains nipples...

Startopia was such a great little gem. I got it from a mailorder catalogue along with Deus Ex 1 some years ago. I still play it to this day. The voiceovers for the CPU assistant were spot on - very Hitchhikers Guide like. :)

Stronghold was a laugh. The voiceacting in that game was hilarious beyond belief. Theme Hospital, now there's a name I haven't heard in ages. Kidney Beans anyone? (chuckle)

Yeah, they were all great games. I got Pharaoh as a christmas present back when it was released. Managed to pick up the rest as "classic games re-released" in a local bookstore. :) @The Eupho Guy: Thanks! I'll check that out :)
