Was the joker played by anyone else but Heath Ledger?

I think you're thinking of a different movie. There was one where they had to re-shoot the movie starring three different actors as a way of aiding the storytelling - can't remember the name though.

Mass Effect 2: Playable without mineral micro-searching?!

If you want to complete the game with everything and just cannot force yourself through the pains of scanning planets, people have figured out how to make console keybinds so that you can add the required minerals at will with a single click. Ofcourse this is seen as cheating by some, but...

Mass Effect 2 Plot Holes (Spoilers)

1: You make a valid point as to why they didn't just blow it the shit up. I suppose they realise how dangerous it could be NOT knowing what lies on the other side, and possibly they cling on to the hope that they can bring the kidnapped colonists back - something that would be impossible by...

    What is Steam?

Regarding the pricing of games. You'd be best off checking your local online video game retailer ( if possible ). Steam usually doesn't lower prices on non Valve games. As an example Empire: Total War is still full release price on Steam but I can get the boxed version from a popular store near...

    Poll: Why so ugly?

I've seen worse but it looks awful, but I don't like the 360 either to be honest.

Requesting help to find a name of a game

Yeah - Didn't even know the game had robot suits. I only got to play it once back in the day. I used to work in a small PC repairshop. A customer had sent in a machine that crashed constantly with the game. My task? To play it endlessly till it crashed - did it ever? Nope, but boy was that a fun...

Give this man...err...gnome? A cookie! It was indeed Silent Storm :D http://archive.gamespy.com/reviews/january04/silentstormpc/03.jpg I remember this scene from the start of the game. :)

Requesting help to find a name of a game

They do look very similar but I think it was more graphically advanced, but commandos didn't feature turnbased combat as far as I can recall - perhaps an offspawn of the genre?

Requesting help to find a name of a game

Ah - Guess I left that out. It is a PC game. Panzer General is a good guess, but the game I'm thinking off wasn't about strategic control. It was more commandos styled. You controlled your unit of men like in Baldurs Gate, Syndicate and Commandos. :) PS: I'm not entirely sure about it...

How do you rapidly press buttons?

I hate rapid press moments. I like treating my controllers (and mice) with respect so anytime I come across a minigame or moment where rapid button presses are required I usually skip them if possible or stop playing - The new price of persia had such a moment and I ended up using a Trainer...

Requesting help to find a name of a game

Heya folks. I've been looking for an old game, cirka 2000-04. I don't remember very much from it other than the theme was a war - possibly second world war or present. The gameplay was similar to Fallout 1/2 in that combat was tilebased and turnbased - The player had to make a main character...

Why is nudity so heavily looked down upon in gaming? Especially when big boobed bimbos are so common

Here in Denmark games aren't enforced even though they carry the usual 16,18, Mature (etc..) markers. I bought GTA2 as a 11yr old? (i think) and I don't walk around murdering innocents with machine guns or run them over. Got the same view on semi / X-rated content. If a game contains nipples...

Notable X4 / "Empire" / "City" - Building games for the PC?

Startopia was such a great little gem. I got it from a mailorder catalogue along with Deus Ex 1 some years ago. I still play it to this day. The voiceovers for the CPU assistant were spot on - very Hitchhikers Guide like. :)

Notable X4 / "Empire" / "City" - Building games for the PC?

Stronghold was a laugh. The voiceacting in that game was hilarious beyond belief. Theme Hospital, now there's a name I haven't heard in ages. Kidney Beans anyone? (chuckle)

Notable X4 / "Empire" / "City" - Building games for the PC?

Yeah, they were all great games. I got Pharaoh as a christmas present back when it was released. Managed to pick up the rest as "classic games re-released" in a local bookstore. :) @The Eupho Guy: Thanks! I'll check that out :)
