actually I could do it. Crash a .gov website? Easy. I've also seen them defaced (but couldn't do that) but crashing it is easy. problem is getting caught, which is why I would never do anything to a .gov (or .edu) website.

A lot, actually. Exploiting a vulnerability is a lot different than leeching someone elses programming and using it to "hack" if you've ever tried to exploit anything you'd understand.

You clearly don't know what a skiddie is. The people involved with this exploit werent skiddies. Some people who benefited from it by redirecting to java driveby sites (like me :P) are skiddies but not the actual hackers that found the exploit and used it.
