I think a lot of people's problems with DA2 is less the game on it's own merits, but rather that it is not Dragon Age Origins (or, for some, not Baldur's Gate 2). Which is fair- if people like a game, they want the next game to feel similar. I don't feel it justifies the ridiculously low...

One thing I am surprised that wasn't mentioned was DA:O's lack of a karma meter. Considering how much he despises the standard "Mother Theresa vs Baby Eating" alignment systems, I would have thought DA:O would have been somewhat refreshing.

Good review overall. I do agree that the "Standard Fantasy Setting" has become rather cliche and whatnot. However, I really don't mind, any more than I mind FPSs with weapons that include a pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, or sniper rifle (ie all of them), or an adventure game where you have to...
