Hey, I never said the realism was perfect. I don't even play MW2. But surely, getting shot in the head and not dying is a lot less imperfect than, as you said, getting shot in the foot and seeing blood spatter onto the screen.

Well now, buddy. Since MW2 is one of those "realism" games, not every shot to the head will kill someone, as a lot of attempted suicide patients found out. Your body is quite resilient, and if you're lucky enough, a headshot will more likely shatter teeth, or break your cheeks, etc etc etc...
