Isn't technology great? I've heard people make a full orchestra with a midi keyboard and a bunch of virtual instruments lol. Of course it never replaces the feel of real players but if you're not going for authentic is pretty amazing that that's even possible.

Well a piano can be digital, acoustic grand, acoustic upright, etc. I assume yours is upright then. If I had any of those instruments anymore I would do it for free. I hope you find some other players, I know from experience that that's definitely a difficult thing to do.

I am surprised at how many other multi-talented instrumentalists are here, I'm glad to see people playing a diverse group of instruments.

It's not critical but it helps you understand sheet a bit better, also helps if you're a hardcore song writer. I only took it very minor for 1 year in high school, but even that little bit nudged me in a good direction.
