It's linear to a ludicrous extent, I dropped dead for no reason at one point for walking slightly ahead of my squad.

Some of Frank Klepacki's stuff should work well. He's the chap who writes the Command and Conquer Soundtracks and those games have damn fine music Play Hell March and just have some of the Red Alert Opening cutscenes running.

Probably a bit after family guy got popular, they started trying to take tricks from their book and it just doesn't work as well. Still, I have to say the older episodes are still as brilliant as ever.

Eh, if I was to compare this to any Pratchett, and I'm loathe to, it's like the Colour of Magic, before Pratchett really started to shine. Instead of having an interesting story and characters everything here is just used to throw reference after reference out. I mean, the colour of magic...

Actually, I think throughout the whole thing I only made about two of my party members take the joining, actually three come to think of it, Oghren, Nathan and Anders, I was never forced to have the others undergo the joining as I recall correctly...although I might have said they could do it...

One thing that always got to me about AoM was that the resource system was perhaps too intricate. In order to keep a successful army up in this game you had to have like 2/3 of your population as villagers. Oh, you should also mention that this game actually managed to do special abilities...

It's difficult to pull it off without the song becoming boring. One band who do it well are King Crimson, Red and Frakctured come to mind Mike Oldfield is good as well, as the above poster mentioned, Tubular bells is pretty much the ultimate instrumental.

I thought it was a pretty poor article. he didn't actually go into any depth about anything, just listed off a lot of games that he believes have moral choice. It was an interesting topic but there was absolutely no exploration of it, just a dull, pointless list.

nah, as said above, Sten isn't bad, he just has a different set of moral standards as a Qurani. I think he's just supposed to be very difficult to understand because Qurani culture is so wildly different, but he's by no means evil.
