So after mt first failure I decided to do a more indepth review of a single faction because the game is simply too big to cover in a single article (as I found out).
House Stiener
Lets start with my favourite inner sphere faction.
House Stiener is the second largest of the "big" five...
Okay since it was requested, I will give the desired response.
The comparison to mechs and other units is somewhat lop sided. Mechs have a large amount of armour with the benifits of speed and veristility.
For instance a Dasher/Firemoth has 3-6 points of armour on its various parts and you...
So, after much thought (while I paint my battleships for Victory at Sea) I decided to do a quick review of the most recent rules for Battletech.
Now, the game has alot of deep background story without having the background stroy dominate the game. This is a great feat that other game systems...
Continueing :)
Order of Battle
This book contains several IMPORTANT changes to the game. For one, ships with slow-loading torpedoes no longer have an unlimited supply. This was probably the most important change since the Japanese Kagero Class destroyer would typically drop 4 or 5 salvos...
Okay, to start, for all you people not "in the know" (which on this forum is likely to be a distinct minority) a mini game is slang for Table top Miniatures game. You take miniature versions of a tank or person, put it onto a table that has some minature terrain and use a measuring tape to move...
So, after watching a few documentaries before watching the Star Trek Marathon (excuse me while I put on my Nerd Cap) I came to realise something. Its a tiny detail which escaped me, and most likely others as well.
A flag ship is a ship with a flag officer on board (so in star trek II they got...

It is difficult to communicate efficiently through a written media alone. Unless you are righting a novel or short story their is no way to communicate the inflection of the words in question. Thats what makes touching on a subject such as this difficult. While humour...

my complaint isn't about the entire article... though I am getting sick of hearing "Micheal Bay sucks" but thats something I tend to ignore. My problem is with the one line. That is the focus of my complaint. And while I'm not threatening legal action I know several people in the health...
I am aware of common military lingo. Use it as needed.:)
Thats not military conflict. All I saw was a military unit fighting poorly armed civilians (paramilitary or not).
You are refering to combined arms warfare and manouver warfare. I am not really comparing it to anything except to...
"American scientists are already looking at FBT as a cure for other deviant childhood behavior such as hyperactivity (ADD), depression,..."
Huh... Its funny that the Escapist would risk a sever Defamation Lawsuit by publishing this statement.
1. ADD and Depression are not childhood...
Those aren't examples of a combat zone per say. Its more akin to untrained desperate people trying to conduct am ambush that somehow (and miraculously so for the protagonists) contineously go wrong in every sense. (The only real casualty being a shot foot). Thats more like a freedom fighting...
my problem wasn't with the accent... it was the rediculous way he looked (like the guy who says "It's Wigo!" in ghostbusters II. I just couldn't stand it. He looked irritating (I'm not commenting on his personality) and the hair bouncing up and down... gah! G-GAH!
