All JRPG needs to be liked again is to be gritty.

They need to emphasize plots rather than character and set design.

The Five games that define you as a gamer

Ace Combat 5/Zero (5 has better story and more mission variety, but Zero has smarter A.I. and my actions change how people see me) Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (I was in the top 1% of online players before real-life dragged me away) Sim City 2000 (all time favorite PC game) Wing Commander 4...

Hall of shame: admit which games you are terrible at .

Halo. Here's the thing, I'm that asshole that goes around knifing people in the back in FPS's. I am very good at instant killing people. Hell, that's where most of my XP comes from. Stealth, speed. Halo was not built for me.

Your favorite fictional religions in literature/games/media

The Church of Avacyn, from the Innistrad block of MTG. I mean, it doesn't preach of any afterlife. It's whole purpose is to give humanity the means to fight werewolves, vampires, zombies and demons. It's practical, is what I'm saying.

Critics seem to hate movies based on kid's cartoons..

The animated Transformers movie is by no means bad. I'm not really much of a Transformers buff, I loved Beast Wars and that was about it. But looking at it not as a transformers movie, but as a movie, I found a tale of a young soldier having to grow up and take control after their leader falls...

This Game sucks because the Story is bad.

When it comes to using story in a review score, I think there should be different weights for different genres. RPG's for example, the story has more weight and is the driving factor in gameplay. As you advance in the story, more of the gameworld opens up and becomes available. Take Resonance of...

    You are BOOLETPROOF

Ride the bomb, like in Dr. Strangelove. Then change my name to Jack Harkness and start a task force named Torchwood. Probably have to do that last bit in order to actually acquire a nuke. But would I still suffer from the radiation?

Games you love but no one seems to talk about

Nope. There are some variations with the scenery, like snow and garden themes, but the colors always remain muted. Though, it helps with the steampunk setting, especially with the clock gears in the background. If you want color, clothing customization is your best bet. The story starts...

Games you love but no one seems to talk about

Resonance of Fate. I really wish Yahtzee would do a review of it. It is not like other JRPGs. I could cosplay as the main characters and no one would be able to tell.

    Mary Sues! *Shakes fist*

I'm tempted to put Link on the list. *Comes from nowhere, gets involved with the fate of Hyrule *Can complete quests trained soldiers couldn't do *Multiple love interests *Has part of a powerful relic *Instantly skilled at any weapon or magic he acquires *No real personality
