Not like what you think. There has been this resolution patch for years, which allows you to just see more stuff on the screen, this is exactly the same thing.
Seems like they only copypasted the unofficial patch and called it a HD remake. Looks like completely the same game except with support for higher resolutions.
And both of them are derivatives of Quake 1 engine.
But I've known for a long time that Valve was going to make HL3 with a new engine, no other way it would've taken this long otherwise.

Seriously those patents are retarded, they basically go like this:
Dis patent be about all audio encoding methods and whatnot, you know liek audio and stuffz.

It's your own fault you are alt-tabbing from a Bethesda game.
Srsly, do not alt-tab in Skyrim, it will cause graphical glitches like that very often. And pretty much guarantees you'll ctd inside one hour.
ME2 on PC is broken by default, the mouse sensitivity is waaaay too high and there is mouse smoothing. Motion blur and depth of field are also on by default, and they suck.
And the whole time you are playing, your screen is full of annoying help messages and useless messages about...
The only "true upgrades" that we get in EFI are just the boot up speed and GPT.
The low level OS is just a gimmick for people who can't use a keyboard.
But yeah, EFI is good, but the upgrade is not that significant.
