Seems to me that there isn't much to get worried about. This could be as simple as a mechanism to show the last 15 seconds of trailer with the giant blob in the sky. I wonder what sort of timeline they were going to put this game on since the other game sort of resolved the plot.

Talk about taking some advice. I love that the protagonist is going to be someone other than an unresponsive amorphous blob with hands. That has been something laking in FPS video game narrative for a while and this will be a good notch up for FPS gaming in general.
