actualy i started this thread because ive just finished reading the call of cthulu and was wondering if i couldget a good thread going about modern horror and how classic horror i feel is much better and yes i may be a bastard but that has little to do with this argument

is it just me or as human kind continues are we finally leaving behind true horror (by that i mean something a bit more psychological than a man in a mask jumping out yelling BOO) people such as H.P.Lovecraft and Stephen King showed us the pinnacle of Horror and now that were becoming more aware...

i must say i love the dark humour and the setting but i find theres something under the surface that hardly any games have its different, brilliant, eccentric and does the great job off putting you in a situation most people would run from but allows you to carve your own path killing or helping...
