Question of the Day, October 25, 2010

I'll probably go for a wizard and try to adapt the old Artillery Mage routine to the new spells. Either that or a monk, I'm not quite sure, yet.

A slightly different "you died" thread.

Castlevania : Dawn of Sorrow on Julius mode... So I get to wander around a single castle for all eternity ? Also : Trapped in a 2D world... Damn Still, could be worse; I actually considered Cooking Mama 3, yesterday...

Friends Who Just Like to Watch?

Actually, I used to be "that guy". Usually, when a friend offered me to play, i declined, saying I preferred to watch. In fact, the real reason was sheer shyness. For some reason, I didn't dare pick up a controller and play when at a friend's place. It took me a while to realise it, too... Now...

So it unfolds... And we are a step closer to our destinies. A teleporting heartless vampire with a tendency towards time travel and altering probabilities ? I guess I should be fine

Question of the Day, September 8, 2010

Seeing that I'm some kind of a mobile radiator anyway (I actually managed to be too hot wearing sandals and a shirt in mid-winter...), I'll go for cold weather anytime.

To those who say "stop whining and move over to Canada", I'll just point this out : http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=distance+between+UK+and+canada Long story short, there are 3241 miles between the UK and Canada. Even game developers have families, you know

Question of the Day, June 30, 2010

I used to DM for D&D 3.5; I'd even gone so far as to create my own world with its own history and what I thought mere some clever twists... never took the campaign really far, though, and completely stopped when I realized it was actually pretty lame...

    260: 1984 Out of 10

I have to agree, there. A numerical scoring system can't realistically reflect a complex opinion. I was always bothered by ratings, possibly because they reminded me too much of school or something... A simple numerical rating could be applicable to something purely objective, like how well...

Stolen Pixels #203: While You Were Sleeping

In my opinion, the best example of "wake up to disaster" is still Soul Reaver: you wake up hundreds of years after having been executed, just to find out the world is completely in ruins and your clan has been wiped off the map. In fact, now that the question arises, there are really loads of...

Poll: [Poll] Game Soundtracks: Are They Getting Better?

I don't really know... overall, video game music is shifting to more high budget and elaborate music. But that's pretty much what bothers me; nowadays, video games take up insane amounts of space, and can afford to have a fully orchestral soundtrack and all, while a decade ago, they had to cram...

Poll: How much do you read?

As a kid, I used to spend all my spare time reading. Unfortunately, I've more or less run out of books. Still, if reading software documentation and programming tutorials, as well as online news counts for anythong, then I still read a lot.
