Oh Minister Gail Shea. What have you done now?

My main point was that a lot of the people who insist on only consuming natural/organic fruits and vegetables and then claim that it's healthier and better for production probably don't know all of the facts. From what I've heard and read, pesticides are usually preferable to organic methods...

Oh Minister Gail Shea. What have you done now?

Well, now, that's an interesting statement. If you eat organic (by which I assume you mean something to the effect of "naturally grown" fruits and vegetables; I have no idea what a non-organic cow would be), you're actually increasing production inefficiency. Do you know why most large-scale...

    Die!! Muahahahaha.....

I definitely enjoyed Destroyman's death in No More Heroes more than I should have. I hated the guy, and seeing him getting split in two while attacking is pretty funny. Oh, and I suppose that I should have preceded that with "SPOILERS," but the point of NMH is to kill everyone else, so I...

    Call Of Duty 7... VIETNAM!?!?!

I think that the main problem with a game based on the War in Vietnam is that most handling of the subject tends toward unrealistic extremes (like a lot of war games, come to think of it). Either all of the American soldiers are sociopathic crazies who slaughter enemies like its nothing while...

    Favorite Setting?

I'm personally a big fan of urban fantasy, which is a modern setting (as the name suggests, specifically a city) containing magic, mythical creatures, or some similar type of conceit. It is (to my knowledge) less done than other types of fantasy and sci-fi, and still feels fresh to me.

    Call Of Duty 7... VIETNAM!?!?!

Call of Duty: Charlie Don't Surf. Or Call of Duty: Serve Your Country and Get Spit upon by Americans, if you're a bitter, resentful individual. This should be the new purpose of this thread.

    Call Of Duty 7... VIETNAM!?!?!

Actually, I never knew about those numbers until last fall when I did a term paper on the Vietnam War protests in California and New York for a history class. Believe me, I was as surprised as anyone. And until 1968, hippies were also a rather small minority in the United States - until the Tet...

    Call Of Duty 7... VIETNAM!?!?!

Considering your standpoint, it may come as a surprise to you that a lot of the propaganda (or at least, the propaganda that is easy to find today) was actually opposing the Vietnam War, especially in the cases of the Tet Offensive (which was what seemed like a concerted effort on the part of...

    Call Of Duty 7... VIETNAM!?!?!

That's not quite true. While actual ground campaigns had stopped by then, there were American troops at the embassy in Saigon, and Operation Frequent Wind [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Frequent_Wind]. But I'm not sure that they really did a whole lot of fighting.

    Call Of Duty 7... VIETNAM!?!?!

All right, in order (I suppose): I'm not entirely sure (this being directed at Kathinka) what you're talking about when you mention the U.S. being decisively defeated by the Viet Cong, especially since the most famous and well known of all Viet Cong campaigns, the Tet Offensive, was actually...

    Call Of Duty 7... VIETNAM!?!?!

Where did you get your history lesson? The My Lai massacre ended up with between three and five hundred dead Vietnamese citizens, none of whom were actual combatants. And, also for the record, the U.S. didn't get "it's [sic] ass kicked" in the war; a huge domestic opposition to the war caused...
