mine would be when i place prox mines around all the spawn points in goldeneye and was summarly killed after the last mine was placed. and no one else had died while i was planting the mines. needless to say i no longer plant mines at spawn points.

Do you mean minor characters who aren't the "hero" but are more like taggalongs (sidekicks(i.e. Vinny Valentine to Cloud Strife?)) If so sure just follow the rest of the rules as well. Also I have an honorable mention Ryu from Breath of Fire, the kid the most powerful dragon to walk the earth.
