There isn't a default Femshepard. Default Shepard is based on a face model; Femshepard is just some default settings on the sliders you use to make a Femshepard face. Note that you can't make small edits to default Shepard's face.

I don't know exactly why, but even though her face doesn't emote quite the same way and it looks more artificial than a default Shepard, I really feel better about playing Femshepard. Maybe it's because, as Freud would say, my inner self lacks a penis, though I doubt this as my conscious self...
