The Nexus rex Francorum: An Addendum to Demon?s Souls [Closed/Started]

"Your guess is as good as mine, Father." His gaze followed the man's gestures as he pointed to the few people in The Nexus before he turned around to look back at the elaborate carvings the archstone they'd just used was set in. "If these stones are doorways, they must be connected to where...

The Nexus rex Francorum: An Addendum to Demon?s Souls [Closed/Started]

"Yes, Captain, apparently it will." Will had to smile just a little bit at the Captain's rapid disappearing act. Since he had been the first to enter the palace grounds from the other side he hadn't gotten to see what exactly it looked like, and there was something amusing about seeing a...

Your Gaming "oh come the fuck on!" moments

You know those blocks in almost every Megaman level ever designed? The ones that go "Booooof! Boooof! Booooof! Boooof!" and they're appearing and disappearing in a certain sequence in time to those noises? If I ever missed the last block a dozen times in a row, then suddenly miss timed...

The Nexus rex Francorum: An Addendum to Demon?s Souls [Closed/Started]

After the last of the dredglings surrendered itself to the same blue fog the others had faded away into, Will allowed himself to take a calm breath. He felt...drained. "I'd rather try than head further down this path for now..." He looked towards the palace that they'd only just inched...

    Movies everyone hates.

Pay It Forward Hate it. It's a surprisingly shallow movie despite how much emotion it seems to wrestle out of people. I've always maintained that most of the people that say they like it are only saying so because they feel guilted into it.

The Nexus rex Francorum: An Addendum to Demon?s Souls [Closed/Started]

How a thing could still move after such a continued beating one could only speculate. But move the rifleman did, and with perhaps its last splutter of willpower it feebly pried at the Lance Corporal's ankles but didn't wind up achieving much. Though that was to be expected from what was now...

The Nexus rex Francorum: An Addendum to Demon?s Souls [Closed/Started]

Though Will had landed a critical hit on the rifleman with a round of his own, the difficulty of firing around Angelos became apparentl rather quickly. The man was just...large. To stay back and try to shoot through a momentary opening was only tempting fate; sooner or later he'd hit Angelos...

Most disappointing ending for a book, movie or video game [Possible Spoilers]

I didn't say the shooting wasn't important, I said it's far from the only thing there. The few scenes that do involve gun fights (or air piston fights...) are well done and fit within' the movie contextually. I love it when Chigurh kills the mexicans in the hotel and follows it by sitting down...

Most disappointing ending for a book, movie or video game [Possible Spoilers]

That scene is the "real ending" because it is, literally, the ending. Credits roll after his monologue. And if you're watching this movie and focusing on the gun battles and chases, then no you aren't going to like how it ends, but that's not my problem. I love the movie and how it ended.

Most disappointing ending for a book, movie or video game [Possible Spoilers]

I loved the ending for that movie! The movie isn't centered around the good guy, it's centered around the bad guy. What happens to the antagonist is more important that what happened to the protagonist. And more to the point of the actual ending, I loved Tommy Lee Jone's monologue to end...

The Nexus rex Francorum: An Addendum to Demon?s Souls [Closed/Started]

Through Angelos' club and Will's bullets it was clear the rifleman dredgling couldn't simply take a couple steps back and fire his weapon. It seemed flustered, but no less animated than it was before; it would still take a beating to bring it down. After it barely registered a series of...
