Wii U Details Will Surface on September 13

Can it reliably be enjoyed without the etch-a-sketch wannabe it's foolishly being marketed alongside? That's the only question I need answered definitively before I can make up my mind whether or not I'll be purchasing this console. I really hope so! Even after the massive regret I...

    Feed Dump: Spears & Spume

I think this was my favourite episode of Feed Dump ever. I truly hope to see more like it (and fewer dislike it) in the future.

Nintendo Wants Wii U The "Preferred" Console for Hardcore Gamers

Hardcore players don't like playing games with an etch-a-sketch. That's a pretty big hurdle for this console to overcome to reach that demographic.

Interactive Kinect Ads Coming to Xbox This Fall

They think these polls will be actionable? That's actually hilarious. Even if they make damn sure to include a separate "I don't care, just get rid of this asinine annoyance" option in every single poll, that's all any response will ever actually mean within this kind of procedure.

Online Retailer Imposes First Ever Web Browser Tax

This makes me actually giddy. I hope this catches on - 'tis a wonderful idea (especially with the poetic justice of 0.1% per month).

E3: Nintendo Reveals Wii U Details

Can it play decent games? Can I play it without holding a monstrous, awkward etch-a-sketch lookalike? That's all I really want to know about this console and the only two factors which will really influence my purchase decision. Luckily, the answer to the second question seems to be "yes"...

    Blizzard Cleans Up GAME's Mess

They made a choice within development. They looked at a component that was completely irrelevant to the core game play and said "We should make it so that when this component fails, the entire game comes to a screeching halt." and they made that choice knowing full well that this component...

    Blizzard Cleans Up GAME's Mess

Being online isn't so evil - I'm sure it offers a lot of usefulness. The unfortunate awkwardness comes when you are kicked out of a world containing absolutely nothing but you and a bunch of computer controlled monsters if your router, ISP or similar should suffer a hiccup. If you were...

    Blizzard Cleans Up GAME's Mess

So what exactly qualifies a single player game? Is it one where I'm playing all by myself and not including any other people nor intending to ever do so? 'Cause that's what I'm working off of. If you're using something else, let me know so we can work towards some common ground on the...

    Blizzard Cleans Up GAME's Mess

Now if only they'd fix that issue where your single player game crashes if your internet connection dies.

Harm Bunnies in Yahtzee's Newest Game

Using the space bar alongside the 'z' and 'x' keys is incredibly awkward and frequently leads to pressing the wrong button. Especially considering that I have yet to figure out anything useful to use the aiming up system for, it'd make much more sense to put the jump action on the up arrow key...

Silicon Knights Boss Says Used Games Drive Up Prices

Solution: Lower the cost of a new game the farther it gets from its release date. It'll effectively destroy the used game market, but the player will get their games even cheaper (if they're willing to wait a bit for 'em).

Blizzard Encourages High Hopes For Diablo 3

I can actually have high hopes for Diablo 3 now? That must mean they've scrapped the necessity for a constant internet connection for single player, right? 'Cause that was pretty much the only thing stopping me before. I just wish they'd state that a bit more definitively so I can go ahead...

Facebook Adding Advertisements to Personal News Feeds

Every single update that appears on my news feed which does not directly stem from a person with whom I have declared a Facebook friendship will be marked as spam. That's what I consider "spam", anyway: content which reaches my perception but is not generated by my actions or interests.

    The New Shiny Escapist

Thank you for pointing that out, I hadn't been able to find it before. I do find it odd that, despite my saving the content option multiple times as "darker" it still consistently loads the page as "natural", but I suspect that this stems from the fact that the two are (at least temporarily)...
