I'd say it was a complete lack of integrity. Right and wrong are subjective. If someone does something they believe to be truly wrong then they are evil even if that something is refrain from killing. In better terms True Evil is the attribute the doer ascribes to his actions.
Do you prefer epic stories on a grandscale where the characters, although sometimes fleshed out, are usually just involved with whats going on? Or do you prefer smallscale stories (relative to the previous option) where interaction between characters is what ultimately pushes the story along...
I suppose an awkward moment would be finding my mother's dildo. Thankfully she chose not to talk about it.
