Look to the death of the Ultima franchise with their ruination of IX.

I have the same issue with Yuri Lowenthal and Liam O'Brien. No variation to their performances, with Lowenthal being the generic young man and O'Brien being the generic effeminate man, and they are in bloody everything.

Capcom made the Mega Man Zero series, and finished it in record time for a series, and that was the last time that they did anything worth mentioning with Mega Man, aside from the ZX series which didn't actually get an ending.

I think Andy from Advance Wars qualifies. Kid needs to be told what an airport is. Actually, let's add whoever added that idiot to the command structure to the list.

I made a point of making my dunmer in Skyrim as ugly as I felt needed. Big and burly, with a perpetual scowl, and one eye because I thought I could get an eyepatch. Granted, Skyrim dunmer aren't winning any beauty awards without a disproportionate amount of effort going into beautifying them.

It's sounding rather uncomfortably like they made Ultima VIII: Pagan. Which was made by Origin. Which was given a nice, wet vivisection by EA a few years after. History repeats, and nobody has yet amassed an army to kill off EA.

The recurring problem I see is that they are rather unaware of their amateur status, and work with the mindset of being professionals. The writing is ad-libbed, the animation is only watchable during the fights that the story seems written as a vehicle for, and the characters are mostly bland...
