Well, while I can't give the end all answer, I can tell what I remember about learning the two systems in grade school. Most of us learned the imperial system first and very early on, so it stuck better. Then when we were introduced to the metric system (years later in middle school, mind you)...

I also played this game after this review. I went through the first half or so thinking 'Okay, where's all the bad stuff at'? Then... came the part with the white phosphorous. I felt like absolute shit afterwards. :(
