A friend of mine was playing a WW2 game -- I forget which -- and one thing NPCs will do about grenades being thrown at them is to kick them back at you. In one instance, he hucked a grenade at an NPC, NPC kicked the grenade, grenade bounces off the wall and lands right back at the NPC's feet...
