Monkey Island. It's more of a technical thing. I do enjoy the writing, the dialog, the music and all that jazz, but the SCUMM interface just drives me up the wall. I can't play the game for more then 20 or 30 minutes at a time without getting annoyed by the interface and quitting.

The Laura Bow series. While the first one wasn't particularly amazing, the second one wins points for being the only mystery game I've played where you actually have to solve the mystery yourself. It also had the least amount of stupid puzzles, if any at all, compared to some other Sierra...

Clock Tower. I really hope the movie comes out (and it isn't terrible), even though it's looking more and more like that will never happen.

I have RPG Maker 2, RPG Maker 3, and Haunting Ground for PS2. I suppose you could consider those rare, seeing how after I bought them I pretty much never saw them again.

If the co-op mode in Portal 2 can be as interesting as Portal 1 (and by the looks of it, there's a good chance it will be), then I think multiplayer games/modes can be art. It just needs to be pulled off properly.
