Wash, rinse, repeat. Id seems to be mired in this cycle of games ... Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein. This looks good, but I'm kind of done with the whole genre. Time for something new (really new) from Id.
If you have savings to rely on for a while, it's probably ok to obsess over gaming rather than looking seriously for work. While I was unemployed and limping along on unemployment benefits that scarcely pay for groceries (much less a mortgage), the anxiety of mounting debt was incentive enough...
It's most likely that much of this is "marketing spin" just like OnLive is ... it's "Gee whiz" technology that really isn't practical for a myriad of reasons, technological and otherwise.
What's good about console (and even PC) gaming is the economy that it stimulates.

I'm sure Blizzard will address this soon enough. LAN play is ESSENTIAL to professionally run tournaments (and makes for great LAN Parties). Online play just isn't the same, particularly in the United States where lag is a major question mark.
