Star Ocean: The Second Story either on the PS1 or the Second Evolution port on PSP. I will forever hold it as my favorite because of its quirky characters; challenging, fun as hell battles; and the legitimately surprising moments of the plot.
All the non-MMO Final Fantasy games are great, as...
Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett (part of the Discworld series) Just seeing the likes of Granny Weatherwax and such on the big screen would be thrilling. Oh, and casting Helena Bonham Carter as Magrat!
I've got a general rotation of old(ish) games that I play about once a year, such as Star Ocean: The Second Story, various Final Fantasy games, Mario, Zelda, Castlevania, stuff like that. New (old?) gems are added a lot though.
In a recent discussion with an old friend of mine, I mentioned how I had begun to play The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker again. He responded: "A Gamecube game? Why are you playing a Gamecube game that you've already done everything in? Why are you just wasting time experiencing stuff you've...
Straight out of the trailer: "We've both said a lot of things that you're going to regret, but I think we can put our differences behind us. For Science. You Monster." And the rest of the game is pure gold.
As for the dictionary thing: http://www.thestar.com/news/world/article/755936--u-s-school-bans-the-dictionary.
But yes, Carlin had it down. Spontaneity is a virtue for the young before they are pushed in to the big soul-crushing tedium and scheduling of adult life.
And my stand against...
So on top of California parent's attempt to ban the Dictionary we have Florida residents trying to ban outdoor play. I think we have 2 states to force into the sea now. Pull Disney World and Universal up to Georgia and let the land sink.
Seriously? Kids playing together outdoors is one of the...
Yiazmat, the final Hunt from Final Fantasy XII. That monster has 50,000,000 HP; I fought it for just over 10 hours, had it down to roughly 500,000 HP, and it ended up killing me anyway.
Holy fucking hell. And I was thinking Yami being in Tatsunoku vs Capcom was just them being generous to the Okami fans. Amaterasu actually being playable though!? Sign me up all over again!
Most Saturday nights my friends and I drink and hang out around a fire and talk about what we've done the last week. I'm a big rum drinker but most of the others go for whiskey and tequila.
I usually end up playing more on the good side the first time I play a game, unless something happens that ticks me off. Then I just go straight up evil.
MapleStory, while not the prettiest, friendliest or least boring MMO I've ever been apart of, it is still the only one that has managed to keep me coming back to it year after year.
