I know that Quake Live is free - does that mean I'd be wasting money on Quake III if I got it just for multiplayer? Do people still play Quake III?

Thanks for all the responses - I loved BC2, bought it day one and played it up until recently. I just have everything unlocked though, so it's not quite what I want. Killzone 3 does look pretty cool - is it as sluggish with the controls as the first one?

So the thing is, I like the unlockables and class system and leveling of Call of Duty, but...well, not so much the gameplay. I play mostly on PC but also on PS3 and 360, what should I get to quell my thirst for some good online shootin'?

Topic. I tried finding a match when PSN first went back up, but I feel like people may have just not been online yet. I really hope the servers are populated - single player was bloody amazing.

Great list - I think a top 10 might have been better just so that you could have included more games (specifically older ones). I agree with a lot of your choices though - except for the fact that there's no mention of Half-Life 2 :)

Has anyone here played it? It looks really good, but I couldn't find a demo. I really like zombie stuff, and it looks like it might be making an attempt at "realism", which is great. So, any opinions?

I've played my share of WRPGs (Oblivion, Mass Effect, Fallout, The Witcher), but I've never really gotten into JRPGs. I've played the Pokemon games (and loved them), and I'm in the middle of FF1, but that's about it. Oh, and Demon's Souls, but that feels like a WRPG to me. So where do I start? I...

I've been looking into playing more games on my iPod touch, and there really are a hell of a lot of great titles. Angry Birds is pretty meh IMO but my favorite games are Edge, Unblock Me, Alive4Ever, Zenonia, Plants vs Zombies, and Game Dev Story. And that's just to name a few. Any other gems...

Oh man, Math Blaster! That was the best part of 2nd grade, teacher was like "go do your individual work" and since I was done because Pokemon already made me smart, I got to go play Math Blaster. *ponders how to get a copy of Math Blaster...*

Not to mention math - critical hit is two times the attack power, represented by the HP bar going down twice as much...and playing it at 5 helped me get better at reading.
