Narrative themes of the games, as in plural, were that the reapers were evil and then some retard AI kid controlling them on the citadel and you have to ignore the entire plot of the first 2 games.
For all your genius, you couldn't figure out how stupid that is?
Where did you get...
And just because this thread is so serious, it could use some brightening up.
(you will not understand the tweet if you haven't finished the game, but its genius)
It may or may not cost any money. Mass Effect has a history of free DLC, like one of the ME1 DLCs was free, the firewalker pack, Zaeed (assuming you had a cerberus network account which was the original packaging to dissuade people from buying used copies).
Honestly I think its shady as...
Doubt its a sequel.
It's probably more along the lines of ending dlc, which many could consider an unethical business practice. But me personally I don't really care, I just want the conclusion promised to me.
Biggest piece of evidence is that if you choose 1 option, the deus ex machina figure tells you what will happen to you personally and upon choosing it and done enough to unlock the secret ending, the opposite of what he says is true.
I could divulge more details and be more specific, but I...
The Lord of the Rings analogy fits only to show how ridiculous the ending is.
As far as you liking the ending, I'm jealous. It's just unfortunate that I can't stand bad writing. Just like finding a hair in your soup ruins your meal.
The endings we got if were true endings were a hand wave.
But the indoctrination theory actually is not a hand wave as one of the endings fully supports it given you unlocked the secret ending.
There are reasons why its not but like I said, you would have to played the game all the way...
Not really a retcon because it builds off of what is already in the game rather than changing the game at all.
There is serious evidence that this is what Bioware is actually trying to do. Too many details to post here, but you might want to check the Bioware forums and take a look for...
If Lord of the Rings had an ending like Mass Effect 3, just as Frodo was about to through the ring into the lava a magical fairy would appear. The magical fairy would explain to Frodo that it controls Sauron and it created the ring so no other magical ring could be made because some other evil...
Actually the endings are quite clear. A 15 year old can interpret them quite easily if they are supposed to be taken at face value.
That is not the problem with them however. The erroneous plot holes they create in 10 minutes is immense. Not to even mention the ending pretty much acts...
Don't forget that the Emperor first gives Luke the choice to be Emperor first but on choosing this event every starship in the galaxy would blow up as well. And the Emperor explains to Luke that he had the Death Star made because someone else might have made the Death Star and blew up the whole...
Retcon's and ending changes happen all the time i.e. Fallout 3 Broken Steel, Neon Evangelion, etc..
Customers do have the right to demand companies do better. That is how capitalism and markets work. If a company wants to put out a slap dash ending, fans and paying customers have a right...
Actually it's the lack of objective journalism that seems to go over your head.
You could at least try and understand the point players are making. You make it out like it's some sort over over enlarged sense of entitlement and its anything but.
Again, you have no contextual...
One of the Bioware team did tweet that your squad mates cannot teleport (hence the whole space magic bit of squaddies ending up on the Normandy).
So just some more food for thought. :)
