I consider myself pretty skilled, but not on the same level as people who can pull off harder challenges (like the Hardcore mode you mentioned), or people who do challenge runs (RoahmMythril with his Mega Man Perfect Runs, or the speedrunners on Speed Demos Archive). I usually play just to...
Arcade America, a platformer made by since-defunct Level 7 (the guys who made the Monty Python games). It introduced me to the Z/X/C action key format that I like to set up for my games, usually platformers or shmups.
Evice and Yeedil from the Pokemon Gamecube RPGs (Yeedil in particular with the legendary birds...DO NOT WANT), the guys from Gatling Gears (SO MANY BULLETS!), all those enemies from Galaga Legions and Mutant Storm Reloaded (can you say Zerg Rush?), and I think that's it.
I'd be pretty much dead by now, because one of the last games I played was God of War III. Followups include Lego Indiana Jones (those guys pack a punch!) and the ship from Ricochet Infinity (massive firepower).
I was gonna say Bayonetta, but so many others beat me to it. :P Ratchet and Clank has always been fun for me, too. ESPECIALLY when you can run around, zapping everyone and turning them to harmless (for you) cuddly animals that explode when enemies get too close.
It's not present on here (I should add it), but my avatar is a green-haired lemming aimed with two paintball guns, ready to take on any sap and capture any flag that comes my way. And fall down ledges blindly while I'm at it.
I have like, 20 PS2 games and like 5 PS3 titles. XP
I agree with you on the Sly Cooper thing, if they can make compilations like that one, then they can make an MGS collection as well. ^_^
I'd wait for him to try and hit me first, then go for a blow while he's vulnerable. Preferably with a large, blunt object, and if possible strike him in the kiwis (or the abdomen if it's a female). =P
The most recent one I can remember is Ratchet and Clank 3's ending.
Oh, and "The Kid" from IWBTG appearing in Meat Boy, along with a bunch of other Indie Platforming heroes.
The last boss that I haven't defeated multiple times over (that helicopter from Shadow Complex's opening) was Demetri from Sly Cooper 2. Boy, this is gonna be tricky...My best bet would be to clobber him with one of those barrels in the room, and try to use a Clockwerk Tailfeather as a weapon...
