Probably all by myself, but I think "The Count of Monte Cristo" was a much better movie than Dumas' (still very good) book. In the movie, Edmond Dantes achieves all the revenge he wanted, with little aftershock to anyone related to the targets. In the book, he does more of a 'scorched earth'...
