As much as I liked Armored Core 4 and for Answer, I have to say that the endings were both really underwhelming. Not that the story was particularly great, anyways. But that's probably the only game I liked which has very little story or character development. Or an ending.

It's funny, since Duke Nukem Forever IS coming out. And from what I heard, it's actually pretty meta itself. APPARENTLY. Personally, I thought there were more memorable episodes, but I can't pick one myself.

What about Infamous? It gave the option to change difficulty anytime in the game, even before the game itself sets a difficulty for you based on how you did on your first set of tutorials.

I actually know the history behind the story of Yoshitsune no Yamamoto...but I'm not as sympathetic to genocidal samurai lords when demons are involved and history is butchered. At any rate, that was one of the most hilarious unskippables I've watched.
