Isn't that basically why they acquitted him? Because the Minister clearly had a personal agenda against him?
Just guessing (I'm not really a huge fan either, tbh), but maybe the penalty was straight up dying. Might as well try to compete...
Interestingly, early trailers, teasers and the like for Into the Dalek had me rolling my eyes at yet another rehash of old stuff, but once it started I found it actually very refreshing. I really don't like the suggestion that it's derivative of Dalek. Even if the basic concept is similar...
Hey, at least we agree on something :P
My main problem is that I can't see this happening without it basically being a big publicity thing. The internal logic of Doctor Who makes it different to re imagining a character like Sherlock Holmes, for instance.
Tbh, no matter what either of us...
Eh. IMO, it's Doctor Who. Despite what several, particularly older generation fans say, it's not high art. I like the Doctor as a man not because I don't like female protagonists but because in my mind it doesn't make sense that a male character can become a woman. It just doesn't fit in my...
It's not about feeling cannon, I admit, in Moffat's mind especially, it probably is cannon.
Thing is, there's lots that is cannon in Doctor Who that I don't like, often cause it just doesn't feel right, even if there's nothing really wrong with it.
Perfect example of this is John Hurt...
Moffat's always been one to add in throwaway lines that make no sense but are funny (hence the heavy reliance on The Doctor Lies). In any case, my initial argument wasn't supposed to be about whether or not Time Lords becoming women is Cannon or not, but that it doesn't seem right to me, mainly...
And that one, throwaway mention by the 11th Doctor (The Doctor Lies... isn't that the River Song quote?), written by Neil Gaiman, not, you know, the head writer of the show, is the basis of all evidence that Time Lords can change gender. There is much more that says they can't.
I never said it wasn't cannon. But tbh, those aren't really compelling arguments anyway- The Corsair was mentioned by two writers, in the Fouth Doctor's era by Douglas Adams (The guy known for throwing in lines for comedy over whether they felt right or not), and anyway IIRC (and correct me if...
I have no issue with a non-white Master. I do have issue with the Timelords swapping gender thing (If nothing else, it doesn't feel right, and doesn't make sense that after all the regenerations we've seen onscreen there's never been a gender swap incident).
Besides, if people so...
Well of course he wont be in Dr. Who. They only made two films and I'm pretty sure Peter Cushing is dead.
Okay I'll go back to the pedant corner now. Sorry
To be honest, I have sympathy for victims. Full stop. "Victims" sort of says it all... If you are a victim of something, I will almost certainly have sympathy for you
I dunno, it seems to me that YouTube is just doing what the developers have asked for with regards to their content- That people don't make money from videos that contain material owned by the developers. Which is fair enough, as far as I'm concerned...
Correct me if I'm wrong but that's...
I'm pretty Sure Charley is in Light at the End, so maybe. I mean, when I say canonised the audio dramas I meant it in that he mentions a list of companions, all of whom are from the audios
This also basically Canonised the Big Finish audio dramas. This makes me... well... I mean, wow. Also, he's missing his cravat... That stuck out to me because of a certain comic...
