Personally I like the oldies, like 30s and 40s so like Charlie parker, Duke Elington, Count Bassie. One of my faves is Charles Mingus - Moanin' If you haven't heard it (or played it) you definetly should. It's both fun to listen to and fun to play if you can move your fingers the speed of light.
