I loved Half Life 2, and still do. Mostly because of it's awesome story, sweet set-pieces and the physics (to whom which I am a sucker for). I do not however like how combat works, the enemy is way too accurate and there is no way you can dodge incoming fire nor or stun anyone. But again...

I am astounded that no one has mention the numerous intros and cut-scenes for Wacraft III and it's expansion The Frozen Throne. Both of those have some of the most realistic and epic cinematic videos in gaming history, in my opinion at least.
